We also deliver in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia), with the same service. Prefer to pick it up yourself? Then you're welcome at one of our four pick-up points in the Netherlands.
How much does an electric cargo bike cost?
A new Urban Arrow costs between € 4.999 (Family Classic) and € 6.999 (Pro Limited Latte). At BikePlace you pay on average € 1.500 to € 2.500 less for a Premium used model, while still getting a bike that has done a maximum of 2.500 km, is model year 2026 and comes with warranty. For anyone looking for a reliable electric cargo bike without the price of new, this is the smartest segment of the market.
Cargo bike or longtail — which type suits you?
Cargo bike
(Family Classic, FamilyNext) has a box in front of the rider. Ideal if you want to keep your children in sight, or for large loads such as groceries or business items. Handling: calm, stable.
Longtail
(Breeze) has an extended rear rack for children or luggage. Shorter than a cargo bike, more agile in the city, easier to park. Suitable for one or two children on the back.

For business owners — VAT deductible
Our Premium used electric cargo bikes usually include 21% VAT. Are you a business owner? Then you can reclaim that VAT through your accounts. We're happy to put the invoice in your company's name — just ask when requesting your quote. For leasing, we work with specialised bike leasing companies; also handy for employers who want to offer the bike via the Dutch work-related costs scheme.

What is the best electric cargo bike to buy?
In the Dutch market, Urban Arrow has been the standard for more than ten years. The bikes are built in the Netherlands, use Bosch drive systems and are made from parts that can be serviced anywhere. That makes them reliable and easy to maintain, even after the warranty period.
How much does a good electric cargo bike cost?
New, a good electric cargo bike costs between € 4.999 and € 7.000. At BikePlace you pay from € 3.599 for a nearly new Urban Arrow, with the same quality and with warranty.
How long does an electric cargo bike last?
With good maintenance, the bike itself lasts at least ten to fifteen years. Depending on use, the battery lasts 500 to 1.000 charging cycles — for most families that's four to six years. The Bosch motor usually lasts much longer. You can have the battery and motor checked and replaced with us.
Do I get a warranty on a second-hand electric cargo bike?
At BikePlace: yes. Every Premium used Urban Arrow comes with BikePlace warranty as standard, optionally extendable. Private individuals selling their own cargo bike usually don't offer that warranty — that's an important difference.
Do you also deliver in my province?
Yes. We deliver electric cargo bikes throughout the Netherlands — from Groningen to South Limburg and from Zeeland to Twente. Also in Belgium (Flanders and Wallonia). Our mechanic brings the bike personally, assembles it ready to ride and explains everything on the spot.
Can I trade in my old cargo bike?
Do you have an Urban Arrow you'd like to trade in for a newer one from our selection? Then get in touch with a description of the model, year of manufacture and mileage. We'll make you a fair trade-in offer.
Can I take a test ride first?
Yes, by appointment. Let us know which model you'd like to test, and we'll make sure the right bike is ready at one of our four pick-up points — Burgh-Haamstede, Ouddorp, Alblasserdam or Utrecht.
Which accessories do I get with it?
On each model's product page, you can see per bike which accessories are included: rain tent, child seats, seat belts, footrests. Anything missing can be ordered right away with the quote.
